HERE BE DRAGONS

WyrmRoost is known as the Dragon Kingdom, or the dragon sanctuary. It sits in a large valley, surrounded by tall mountains reinforced by a magic spell.

All dragons, both pure dragons and object dragons, live here.  Any living thing with dragon magic within them is stuck here. The magic of the mountains prevents them from leaving WyrmRoost, meant to trap all the dragons and keep the outside world safe. The magic also prevents outsiders from getting inside.

The only way inside is through Serpent's Pass.

WyrmRoost is ruled by a pure dragon, Queen Eternal, and two object dragons, Lord Lava and Lord Snow.

NATIVE SPECIES:

  • Koinbolds

  • DracoLeaf

  • Faeries

  • DragonSlayers

  • Jewellers

  • Pure Dragons

  • Object Dragons

PLACES OF INTEREST:

          DeathCrest Hold

DeathCrest Hold is a town located at the entrance/exit of WyrmRoost, mainly populated by objects, either monster, normal, or hybrid. It serves as a tourist spot or main hub for anyone stupid enough to want to stay within WyrmRoost. The town is very defensive and attacks dragons on sight. It also guards the only way in and out of the valley, being built right within the mountains themselves.

          DracoLeaf Campsite

A bustling, noisy village within the Sentient Wood. The main inhabitants of this village are mostly the DracoLeaf Clan. However, some other objects hang out here, as the dragons have no ill intent towards this village. The DracoLeaf are skilled jewellers, making many of the precious artifacts that are parts of dragon hoards. Don't ask them where they got those precious metals.

          Kerauno Cave

A mysterious cave in the inner mountains with a river flowing out of it. When dragons come near, they are delivered an electric shock from the river, ensuring this place dragon-free. Nobody knows what's inside this cave, and nobody wants to venture inside, as something strong enough to take down a dragon is not to be trifled with.

          AmberGrasp

AmberGrasp is an underground city underneath the inner mountains, the entrance to it being a well-guarded secret of the DragonSlayers. This city is a dragon-fearing one, and having an equal fear of outsider objects. Therefore, this city is home to exclusively Jewellers, with the occasional DragonSlayer, and rare exceptions for other objects who were unlucky and needed help.

          Koinbold Village

A medieval-style town of dragon worshippers. Its main inhabitants are Koinbolds. They are hyper-religious, believing dragons to be gods, having many dragon themed rituals and practices, and many celebrations. There are many times where the Koinbolds will present offerings, in hopes that the dragons will take them. They are even willing to die for the dragons, willingly giving themselves as sacrifices for the dragon offerings. It's notable to point out this whole dragon worship thing makes the dragons rather uncomfortable.

          Sabreeze

Sabreeze is another hidden village within the sanctuary, home to the DragonSlayers. While other objects are welcome, they need to contribute to the village, and train themselves in dragon magic and combat in order to defend those the dragons may go after, and to keep the sanctuary stable to keep the dragons inside.

          Faerie Colonies

There are several Faerie colonies around the sanctuary, with three being large enough to be significant on the big map. These areas are massive amber structures attached to trees or cliffs, above the ground, home to the rather timid, but surprisingly friendly Faeries.

          Farming Villages

There are two significant farming villages. One for dragons, and one for other objects. Both villages grow crops and raise livestock, but one village is populated by dragons and dragon objects, while the other is populated with other objects. These two villages serve as the main food sources for the sanctuary, although there are many other farming settlements here.

          Moonfang

A tall, sinister mountain. Queen Eternal is said to sleep there, watching over the world's dragons in her dreams.

          Watchtower

A structure put up by the DracoLeaf near the opening of Serpent's Pass. Many believe that the watchtower is to simply watch for activity near the pass, but perhaps they are guarding something more secretive.

          Abandoned MoonKeeper Camp

Strange stone ruins in the forest and base of the mountains. There isn't much of it left, as most of it was destroyed by an avalanche. Judging by the symbols engraved in some of the rocks, this was likely a campsite for The Keepers of The Full Moon.

          Dragon Graveyard

Sacred dragon burial grounds. This area is home to some of the world's rarest, most powerful magic plants. Obsidian spikes covered in a sweet tasting red moss jut out of the ground here. While many seek the moss or the other plants here, trespassing on the dragon graveyard is a death sentence.

          Dragon Temple

A vault of dragon artifacts and their most valuable treasures. It seems to be abandoned, and nobody can find their way into the vault.

          Ice Palace

Queen Snow's palace, formerly the main palace for the three queens. Unfortunately, this palace is not made of ice. This palace is surrounded by a city of dragons.

          Fortress of Flames

Queen Lava's fortress, carved out of the rock in the mountains. Queen Lava and her supporters settled here after being chased out by Queen Snow.

          Phyto-SuperHighway Hub

One of many Phyto-SuperHighway Hubs across the continent, this tiny village houses a couple of restaurants, a treetop motel, and a library where the main hub is. Phyto-superhighways serve as post offices, WyrmRoost's hub being managed by a handful of DracoLeaf.

          Leviathan Lake

Name is self-explanatory. This very deep lake is home to the aquatic creatures of dragon magic.

          The 13th Trial

A small mountain chain in front of the Dragon Temple. Before the temple's sudden abandonment, The 13th Trial was a test for DragonSlayers. Now there are only 12 trials, these mountains keeping their name.
